Site representatives are your main points of contact at your school site. They are elected* by FTA members at each site. They represent their site members at monthly Rep Council meetings, usually on the second Wednesday of each month.

 

They are the liaison between administration and the union. Their duty is to serve as a representative of the union in disciplinary meetings and to enforce the collective bargaining agreement. If you have site concerns or contractual issues that you would like your site representative to address at the Rep Council meeting, visit the news and events page to find out the dates of upcoming meetings.

As site rep, you have the same authority as the principal when representing at the site level, so don't forget your power! They haven't!
